Halloween planning for a happy Halloween party!

With Halloween coming up at the end of October, its time to start thinking of ideas to make it a fun time for adults and children. Nowadays adults are as involved as children in making the most of Halloween, with themed parties being more popular than ever.Everyone wants to be the most original dressed and there are many themes that can be replicated with a little imagination. Party treats can also be inventive to make it a night to remember.

Some suggested themes:

Halloween for everyone!

Happy Halloween for everyone!

Rock Stars eg. Marilyn Manson or Kiss for a rock horror look, or Little House of Horrors.
Zombie theme with skeleton suits, mummies etc.
Monster theme with Frankenstein costume.
Dracula and vampira costumes.
Witches and wizards, broomsticks, black cats and all.
Addams family
Freddy Kruger
Wolf-man and Cat costumes with a werewolf theme.
Ghosts and Ghouls costumes
A Victorian theme

Party ideas:
A murder party with a group of friends, where a ‘victim’ is ‘murdered and everyone has to work out who commited the crime.
A cave decor with artificial bats and spiders with webs for authenticity, add muted lighting to improve the ambience.
A Victorian, or Medieaval theme.
A Superhero party could be an alternative to the tradtional “Ghosts and Ghoulies” themes.
Witches and Wizards themes are always a favourite.
A corn maze, or treasure hunt can be linked into the theme.
Create your own spooky or creepy Halloween atmosphere around the house with decoration, pumpkins, music and ghost stories.

Its a great time for the children and adults but make sure you don’t scare the young ones, once they have done with their ‘trick or treating’ in the earlier part of the evening.
All these ideas can be put together at home or bought from a costume and party store, there are some good specialists on-line too which can make you the one to get noticed when the ‘best costume’ awards are handed out!
